A sitter can also accept the invitation to an alliance.

2 persons from one alliance can be each others sitters, but make sure the 2nd sitter is a different one for both, otherwise if you 3 are out, nobody's there to sit any of the accounts. (No Triangles)

I have to say that I personally know of someone (adult friend of mine in real life) who was very recently banned when a player who they had been attacking for weeks set them as their sitter without their knowledge and then complained under the friendly fire rule. My friend did not realise they were added as a sitter and never entered the acct.

Even though it will get sorted out if you are innocent you will still likely lose a minimum of a day's play giving your farms time to train troops, and any gold in use at the time of ban will also get lost automatically (although my friend got that back when they complained).

In the end the idiot who did it was penalised by losing half popn (my friend who was affected was given option of having them banned but wanted to be able to attack them as was pretty annoyed by this stage).

My friend did get an apology. The multihunter who put the ban on obviously did not do a proper job of checking the info. They also did not give adequate replies as to what my friend was supposed to have done when asked which meant it dragged out far longer than it should have. It was sloppy on their part and malicious on the part of the player. The moderator who dealt with it in the end (not the one who placed the ban without properly checking) was much more helpful.

The best advice is find two people you sit for and fill up your sitter slots. It is the only way that you can ensure this cannot happen to you. Better safe than sorry.

To remove this problem from the game there needs to be a system put in place where a player actively accepts a sitter role - it should not be a passive automatic thing.

I am still totally amazed that the idiot who did this got away with it - should have been sorted out without ever affecting my friend at all.

dvv,

Hi, I don't know whether you have found your answer yet but if not I can tell you. When you log on, instead of using your username and password, you type in the name of the person you are sitting for, then type in your own password. Travian will then log you on to their account as a sitter

Very good, concise, easy to follow. But, if I don't already have a person from the alliance to sit for me, how do I get one?

"The sitter of an account must sit the account using the account sitting function in game. The sitter of an account may not tend to an account by logging on with the password of the account they are sitting."

So how do you use the function? I must be staring myself blind at account and profile settings, but I can't figure it out.
