The whole point of the game Travian is to build your population and high ranks. To grow your population, you need to upgrade your resources, and you can even grow in population if you build troops.

Usually, a player will want to create another village. Having a second village is ideal when trying to grow bigger and become a stronger and more aggresive player. The recommended population should be about 300+

A new player will start with one choice, which civilisation to be. There are 3 options to this, Romans, Gauls or Teutons. Then the player must start to build their village by upgrading the buildings that make it grow. Resource fields are the places in which resources are made, they are wheat crop, iron mine, woodcutter and clay pits. Every player will need all of the resources to keep their village going and survive.

The other buildings needed include, warehouse (used to store resources), Market place (used for trading and buying resources) Barracks (used to build troops ready for battle) Cranny (used to hide resources in the event of a raid) Academy (used for upgrading or researching new troop types) and there are many more building that are vital for survival of the player’s village. This are just a few building tips for travian that I think might be usefull. At least this is how I go about doing this, and it’s worked well for me. This is just stuff I try to follow whenever I start up a new village, to make it grow as quickly and efficiently as possible.
