Travian culture and the Treasury
Just thought I’d leave a short tip on travian culture here today. I’ve lately been checking out the various buildings to figure out in what order to upgrade and build them to gain culture points. It is different depending on whether it’s a speed server or a normal server, but on both the treasury is a very valuable building. You can build a treasury in all your cities except your capital. It costs 9190 in total resources for level 1 but it gives you an amazing 10 culture points per day, so in 50 days it generates just as much culture points as a party!
The total cost would be about 14000 resources when taking into account the 4 crop you pay every hour. A party costs 20320 total resources so the treasury is definately a building you should have for culture. Everyone are using embassies for culture these days, but the treasury is a must too. The only reason not to have it would be lack of space on a speed server. I can write more on other culture buildings later if people are interested.
Communication in Travian
Introduction
Perhaps one of the least talked about aspects of Travian is the interaction with other players. If you spend any time playing Travian you will come across newbie’s and very experienced players. You will come across fools and idiots, people who attack before checking that your population is ten times theirs and apologise like mad before their attack comes in. I even had one player attack me, apologise and then send back all of the plundered resources by merchant plus the cost of the two troops they killed (we couldn’t work out a fair price for the rat, I figured that was a favour). You will have BIG scary players in BIG scary alliances to deal with, your immediate neighbours, allies, confederacies, non-aggression pacts, attackers, farms…it is potentially such a big part of the game and really can determine your fate. Travian Farm tip
To farm in travian is to attack other villages for resources, like I’m sure everyone knows. In the beginning farming heavily is pretty much the only way to be able to grow as fast as the other big players. Farming can take a lot of time when you start to get a lot of troops and lots of potential farms around you, and especially if you don’t have any co-players to help you out it’s good to find an efficient way to do it.

Travian tips the crop lock
I haven’t been writing here in a long time, so I thought I should just write a short post about a travian tip here now. I just got the idea since it’s just happened to me on the server I’m playing at. I’m just playing the account there solo, and recently I haven’t had much time to look after it.
Well the travian tips of today is the crop lock. It’s very annoying since you basically have to spend a lot of gold to fix your village again, and if you only have one village left and don’t have any friends to help you, you’re really in trouble.

Travian combat strategies
In this travian combat strategy guide I will go through a couple of basic combat strategies everyone has to know to play travian well. The strategies and tecniques here will be used from day one and throughout the whole game.
Dodging
I guess this is the most important one to know, and I guess pretty much everyone who’s reading this know what it is. Anyways though, it means sending your army out of your city when another player attacks to avoid a fight and avoid loosing troops. You will be doing this all the time, as you never want to defend your city with offense troops, so you always dodge unless you have defensive troops there with them or you’re certain it’s just a tiny attack that won’t hurt your offense force at all.
