Travian T3.5 what do you think
Travian version 3.5 is coming to more and more servers now. I haven’t played much on any servers with this version of travian myself, so I’m wondering what the people visiting here think about it. There are a few new buildings like the horse watering place, which I’ve posted a picture of here, as well as an improved trapper and a brewery. The watering place is for romans, trapper obviously for gauls and the brewery for teutons.
There will also be a few other new features like more artifacts, interface changes as well as new combinations for resource tiles. All in all it doesn’t seem like such a huge change to me. I’m not playing much at the moment however, so would be cool if people could post some comments on what they think about T3.5.
Well I play on this new version… Still dont know what to say about it. It seems interesting however but gives more advantages to teutons and romans than to gauls. Actually with training time reduced to 80% it gives really too big advantage for the teutons which have the fastest building of troopers and this will be important in the midstage of the servers! For gauls the new trap is actually useless if you are active and/or agressive player. The new types of resours spreading is actually what I like most in this version cause I dont like teutons – they are the easiest to play and now its even more easy.

I think the tribes have been evened out, teutons where too overpowered at the start, but the plunder bonus has been reduced to 20%. Romans have been given some advantages, such as reduced lego build costs, and trade office bonus. I kind of like it, since i’m an offensive roman player.

hi, this new sever make teuton too strong. i skip all the quest and begin to use gold upgrade main house to lv 3 and build really point and barack. 24 min to train 2 clubs. totally after 25 min I begin to raid. after 5 hours i have 14 club to raid nearby villages. of course I have more than 2 day of beginning protection time. It’s such cool

I play on a T3.5 server.. Roman army’s will by WAY too overpowered now. They get the 80% build time, AND the water trough decreasing the time for cav to be trained. Teuton’s brewery gives ram hammers a massive boost.
What do Gauls get? Some lousy trapper upgrade that’s easy to get around anyway. And more expensive.
IMO, Teutons and Romans benifit and Gauls are sitting the worse off tribe overall.
I play Gauls obviously. Next round im going Romans.
But other updates, stat’s. Alliance medals etc. Pretty cool.

Well, I do not know if everyone knows it or not, but the Gauls can have as many trappers as they wish to give up space for. I have one village node of of a cropper that has all crannies and trappers. You would be amazed what 2400 traps can do when you got an L20 wall and 5k in wheat burn with a good phal to druid ratio.
With very few reins from others, you already have the equivalent of almost 8k in wheat burn that only costs 5k per hour. Traps do not burn wheat.

yea i play as gaul too and it’s a bit disappointing that the romans and teutons get to be stronger while the gauls remain the same. i only used trapper once or twice as a storage for the settlers of my teammates then i demolished it again.

teuton is overpowered. it’s the easiest tribe to play. just need to be active and walla..you get the top 10. i think teuton is too imbalanced and yes, they own the early game all the way until end. kinda pity to gaul as they mainly only play for support.

ok well first off.. def was way too strong to begin with.. def with an alliance could already basicly destroy any manageable attack force before the updates.. now with the faster training times and the brewery or horse drinking fountains allowing more attack troops in a hammer will just equal out the original unbalanced system..
will this make things tougher for guals, yes but guals had it easier to begin with and due to the fact that they are more defensive in nature you shouldn’t be playing guals if you aren’t wanting to play aggressively as someone stated b4 me..

Well I like this new version a lot except the new graphics. I like to use traps as my secondary defence in the late game and I’m looking forward the artifacts too.

Well, Teutons might have gotten an upgrade with the Brewery, however remember that it can only be built in your capital. Thus, you can’t have Brewery together with your great barracks or great stable. The actual benefit of this building is not all that clear, since if you want to have a huge army you often need to have your great barracks and great stable pumping.
Watering place, on the other hand, is a huge benefit and might give the Romans the upper hand that Teutons have had for some time.
I haven’t played v. 3.5 yet, so my comments are only backed up by considering the manual.

Huh, what exactly do think a Gaul player can do with 400 traps in the late game??? There IS a limit of 1 trapper per village at least on Czech servers.
